The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao – School of Health and Allied Sciences (USLT-SHAS) was recognized with Certificates of Commendation and Exemplary Performance from the Ninth City Council, the Professional Regulation Board of Nursing, and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), reflecting the institution’s unwavering commitment to excellence and its dedication to providing high-quality nursing education in Region 2.
On December 17, 2024, USLT-SHAS received a city resolution commending it as the Top 1 Performing School in the November 2024 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (PNLE). The award ceremony took place at the Cataggaman Nuevo Gymnasium in Tuguegarao City.
The resolution highlighted PRC’s announcement of 29,349 successful examinees out of 34,534 candidates in the November 2024 PNLE, conducted across 19 testing centers nationwide. USLT emerged as the leading institution among the top-performing schools, achieving a 100% passing rate with all 91 examinees successfully passing the licensure exam. Notably, 35 of these examinees hailed from Tuguegarao City.
The resolution further emphasized the institution’s uncompromising standards in delivering high-quality education, fostering research and community engagement, and instilling Christian values in its students. These efforts have cultivated globally competitive and socially responsible graduates, further solidifying Tuguegarao City’s reputation as the Center of Excellence in Education. The Tuguegarao City Government expressed its commendation for USLT’s role in producing highly competent graduates, affirming the institution’s contribution to upholding quality education in the region.

The said resolution was personally received by Dr. Dindo V. Asuncion, SHAS Academic Dean; Ms. Janina C. Abad, MSN, Nursing Program Chair; and Ms. Nieva Portia B. Duria, MSN, Nursing Graduate Program Coordinator/Nursing RLE Coordinator.
In addition, on January 17, 2025, USLT-SHAS received a Certificate of Commendation from the Philippine Regulatory Board of Nursing and PRC. The awarding ceremony at SM Tuguegarao City recognized the institution’s exemplary performance in the November 2024 PNLE.
