The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) and Saint Francis Academy, Inc. have formalized a partnership aimed at strengthening learner support and well-being through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on August 4, 2026, at the Sacred Heart Boardroom.
The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration between the two institutions through Project KOFUN (Knowledge Offerings for Under-Resourced Networks), an initiative of the USLT Guidance and Counseling Center under its HOPE (Holistic Outreach, Partnerships, and Extension) Program.
Through the partnership, the Saint Francis Academy learning community will gain access to various initiatives designed to address learners’ developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs. These include guidance and counseling services, mental health awareness activities, career development programs, psychosocial support, and other learner-centered interventions.
The collaboration reflects USLT’s commitment to extending its expertise and services beyond the university community, particularly through programs that promote learner development and well-being. It also provides an avenue for both institutions to work together in responding to the evolving needs of students.
Moreover, the partnership with Saint Francis Academy further expands USLT’s network of institutional collaborations and reinforces its commitment to service, community engagement, and the holistic formation of learners. Additionally, it contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) through mental health and psychosocial support initiatives; SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing guidance, career development, and learner-centered services; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening collaboration between educational institutions in advancing learner welfare and community development.
