The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) formally blessed its newly installed escalators at the Bishop Constant Jurgens Campus (BCJC) today, September 8, 2026.

The blessing ceremony was led by Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., University President, witnessed by the members of the administration, faculty, staff, and students as the new facility was offered for the benefit and service of the Louisian community.
The newly installed escalators are expected to provide improved mobility within the campus, particularly for Louisians who regularly move between floors for classes, academic activities, and other university engagements. Beyond providing convenience, the facility reflects the university’s commitment to developing a campus environment that responds to the evolving needs of its growing community.
Ultimately, the addition of the escalators contributes to USLT’s continuing efforts toward SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) by strengthening modern campus infrastructure, while also supporting SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) through improved accessibility and mobility within the campus. The project further affirms the university’s commitment to providing facilities that enhance the Louisian experience and contribute to a more inclusive and responsive learning environment.
