Dragons ariba! The School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE) successfully defended its title as the overall champion in the 60th Founding Anniversary competitions of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT), marking a four-peat victory against four other competing departments.
With consistent top performances across multiple categories, SACE once again demonstrated its dominance, securing the highest cumulative points to emerge as the overall champion. The Basic Education School (BES) claimed the 1st Runner-Up title, followed by the School of Accountancy, Business, and Hospitality (SABH) as 2nd Runner-Up. The School of Education, Criminology, Arts, and Psychology (SECAP) landed in 3rd Runner-Up, while the School of Health and Allied Sciences (SHAS) finished as the 4th Runner-Up.
In the Sociocultural Events, BES took the lead with 735 points, followed closely by SHAS with 690 points. SECAP secured 3rd place with 630 points, while SACE and SABH took the 3rd and 4th runners-up spots with 595 and 580 points, respectively.
SACE took command in the Sports Events, amassing 1570 points to claim the championship. SABH followed as 1st Runner-Up with 1400 points, while BES settled for 2nd Runner-Up with 1320 points. SECAP (1120 points) and SHAS (1010 points) rounded out the rankings.
The Literary Events saw a tie for the top spot, with BES and SECAP both claiming the championship title at 920 points each. SABH placed as 1st Runner-Up with 850 points, while SACE and SHAS followed with 750 and 620 points, respectively.
SACE also ruled the Visual Events, topping the category with 650 points. BES came in 1st Runner-Up with 540 points, while SABH (490 points), SECAP (460 points), and SHAS (450 points) completed the standings.
For the Special Events, BES secured the championship with 550 points, narrowly edging out SACE, which finished as the 1st Runner-Up with 540 points. SABH landed in 2nd Runner-Up with 500 points, while SHAS (450 points) and SECAP (440 points) rounded out the final rankings.
The 60th Founding Anniversary competitions showcased the departments’ commitment to excellence across various disciplines. As SACE celebrates its fourth consecutive overall championship, the spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition continues to thrive among the students, setting the stage for more thrilling battles in the years to come.
