USLT inks partnership with Providence University, Taiwan

The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) has taken another step in strengthening its global linkages by formally signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Providence University (PU) in Taichung City, Taiwan on August 20, 2025 at the PU’s Anthony Kuo Hall.

The partnership aims to create more opportunities for academic exchange, joint research, and cultural collaboration between the two Catholic institutions. It will pave the way for faculty, staff, and students of both universities to engage in programs that will enrich teaching, learning, and community service.

Representing USLT was Rev. Fr. John Mark D. Barroga, CICM, Vice President for Mission and Identity and University Chaplain, who highlighted the value of partnerships in extending the reach of education beyond borders. PU was represented by its President, Dr. Lucia Shih-Ling Lin, who noted that the agreement will allow both schools to learn from each other’s strengths.

Through this MOU, USLT and PU envision a long-term partnership that will benefit their academic communities and contribute to the shared mission of Catholic education in the region and beyond.
