#THEOneLouisian | USLT-BES crowns champions for Search for BESAA 2026

Highlighting elegance, intelligence, and leadership among young Louisian leaders, the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) Basic Education School (BES) held the coronation ceremony for the Search for Basic Education School Ambassador and Ambassadress (BESAA) 2026 at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium on October 28, 2026. Held on the third day of the BES Intramurals 2026, the event brought together candidates representing their respective teams to take home a legacy to continue.

The Glaring Sundara Ambassador and The Ferocious Tropheon Ambassadress emerged victorious as they were officially crowned as the Basic Education School Ambassador and Ambassadress 2026. Securing the spot for first runner-up were The Glacial Frostveil Ambassador and Ambassadress, while The Ceaseless Aquariel Ambassador and Ambassadress finished as second runner-up.

Before reaching the coronation night, the candidates underwent various preliminary competitions that showcased their talent, advocacy, and communication skills. The award winners were also recognized during the event:

  • Best in Advocacy Project Plan: The Ceaseless Aquariel Ambassador and Ambassadress
  • Best in Marketing Poster: The Fiery Pyrren Ambassador and The Ceaseless Aquariel Ambassadress
  • Top Interviewee: The Glacial Frostveil Ambassador and The Ferocious Tropheon Ambassadress
  • Head-To-Head Challenge Winner: The Glaring Sundara Ambassador and The Ferocious Tropheon Ambassadress

The program began with an energetic production number in which all candidates took the stage, showcasing their confidence and charm. This was followed by the presentation of candidate advocacy plans and marketing posters that emphasized the student leaders’ vision for school and community improvement.

The event reached its most intense phase during the Head-To-Head Challenge and Interview rounds, in which candidates answered questions about student life, leadership, and pressing social issues. The audience filled the gymnasium with loud cheers as each representative gave compelling answers before the final announcement of winners.

More than just a beauty pageant, the Search for BESAA 2026 served as a meaningful platform for young Louisians to develop character, public speaking, and leadership qualities. Participating in the competition allowed candidates to step out of their comfort zones, gain self-confidence, and practice advocating for real-world solutions that affect their fellow students.

Furthermore, the event directly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education), by providing students with holistic learning experiences outside the traditional classroom that nurture leadership, critical thinking, and communication.

Additionally, it supports SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by providing equal opportunities for both male and female student leaders to voice their ideas, promote equal representation, and inspire positive change within the school community.

Lastly, it embodies SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering strong collaboration among student teams, faculty organizers, and student government committees working together toward a shared vision of student empowerment and youth leadership.
