The University of Saint Louis (USL) takes pride in the success of students from the School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE), who emerged as champions in two prestigious contests at the 2024 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week held on November 15, 2024, at Nantong Vocational University, China.

Architecture students Elijah D. Aguanito and Ada Lorraine Z. Tattao won the Grand Prize and First Prize, respectively, at the 2nd International Invitational Contest on Reading and Drafting of Construction Drawings. Their success is a testament to their advanced skills in technical drafting and analysis in this complex, skill-based competition.

At the same time, Information Technology (IT) students Jason J. Bagunu Jr. bagged the Grand Prize, while Shadricke Ian I. Felipe secured the First Prize at the 4th International Invitational Contest on Internet of Things (IoT) Technology. Their innovative solutions and technical expertise in IoT applications earned them top recognitions from an international panel of judges.

Guiding the students to success were Mrs. Lily Ann B. Dela Cruz, IT department head, and Ar. Ma. Eleanor C. Lucero, Architecture department head. Both served not only as mentors but also as resource speakers during a concurrent conference, further elevating USL’s reputation on the global stage.

In addition, the event, which took place on November 13-15, 2024, has seen participation from seven Asian countries, highlighting the global scope of the competition and the diverse talents of students from across the region.

Ultimately, these outstanding achievements underscore USL’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and global competitiveness.

Congratulations to our students and coaches for waving the Louisian flag high!
