The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) received the Best Statistical Activity (Photography Contest) Conducted by a Private Organization award during the 36th National Statistics Month (NSM) Awards and Closing Ceremony held on October 28, 2025, at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Complex in Malate, Manila.
The recognition, conferred by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), underscores USLT’s creativity and commitment to promoting statistical awareness through visual arts. In particular, the university’s photography contest served as a unique platform for participants to translate data concepts into compelling visual stories that highlight the importance of statistics in everyday life.
Anchored on the theme “Boosting the Country’s Competitiveness through Statistics and Data Innovation,” the contest showcased how visual storytelling can effectively communicate the vital role of data in national development and evidence-based decision-making.
Through this initiative, USLT continues to champion the integration of creativity and statistical literacy, further strengthening its advocacy of making data-driven understanding accessible and engaging to the public.
