The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao – Basic Education School conducted its Elementary Recognition and Commencement Exercises on March 25, 2026, at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium, celebrating the academic achievements and milestone of its elementary learners.
The program commenced with a Baccalaureate Mass at the Good Shepherd Chapel, presided by Rev. Fr. John Mark D. Barroga, CICM, Vice President for Mission and Identity and University Chaplain. The solemn celebration set a reflective tone as graduates offered prayers of gratitude for their educational journey.
Following the mass, the procession of graduates, awardees, and school officials formally opened the commencement exercises at the gymnasium. The ceremony highlighted the transition of the graduating pupils as they completed their elementary education.
Diplomas were then awarded to the 64 graduates by Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, PhD, University President, together with Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, Vice President for Academics, and Dr. Emily T. Mabborang, Basic Education School Principal. The awarding symbolized the learners’ readiness to advance to the next stage of their academic pursuits.
Meanwhile, academic and non-academic awardees from Grades 1 to 5 were also recognized, honoring their outstanding performance, talents, and contributions throughout the school year.
The ceremony was graced by university officials, faculty members, staff, and proud families, whose presence made the celebration more meaningful as they witnessed the accomplishments of the young learners.
