The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao–University Research and Community Engagement Committee (USLT-URCEC) took part in a tree-planting event hosted by Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU) in Thailand on July 30, 2025.
The initiative forms part of an ongoing collaboration among partner universities committed to promoting sustainable practices, fostering cross-cultural understanding, and addressing global challenges.
Notably, USLT was represented by Dr. Darin Jan C. Tindowen, Senior Director of the University Research and Innovation Office (URIO), Research Associate Ms. Cecille E. Luyun, and CECA Coordinators Ms. Roselyn N. Lemi and Engr. Marvin S. Silva. The team, alongside HCU officials and fellow international delegates, planted HCU’s symbolic tree, which is an emblem of unity and strengthened environmental stewardship.
With a shared goal of advancing environmental sustainability, the activity is in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 13 (Climate Action) and 15 (Life on Land).
