The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) recognized exceptional student achievements during the Gawad San Luis for Students held on August 1, 2025, at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium.
The ceremony celebrated Louisian learners who have demonstrated excellence not only within the university but also on national and international platforms. Various awards were conferred under the following categories:
- Gawad San Luis for Excellence in Academics
- Gawad San Luis for Excellence in Journalism
- Gawad San Luis for Innovation, Creativity, and Agility
- Gawad San Luis for Excellence in Sports
- Gawad San Luis for Excellence in Culture and Arts
- Gawad San Luis for Best School Council and Outstanding Organization
Notably, Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., delivered a message of inspiration, commending the awardees for embodying Louisian excellence and encouraging them to continue using their talents in service of others.
Likewise, Virgo Marie M. Pagulayan, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, spoke on behalf of the awardees. In her message, she expressed deep gratitude for the recognition of students’ achievements and highlighted the importance of honoring excellence as a way of motivating others to reach their fullest potential.
The Gawad San Luis for Students affirms USLT’s commitment to forming competent, creative, and compassionate Louisian leaders in various fields of endeavor.
