USLT holds seminar series on Strengthening Educational Standards through PTC Self-Survey and OBE

The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) conducted a two-day seminar series titled “Strengthening Educational Standards: A Seminar Series on the Philippine Technological Council (PTC) Self-Survey, Outcomes-Based Education (OBE), and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)” on May 4–5, 2026, gathering faculty members and academic leaders to enhance institutional practices aligned with national and global standards.


The seminar began with Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, Vice President for Academics, who conveyed a message underscoring the importance of quality assurance mechanisms in sustaining academic integrity and institutional growth.


Moreover, Engr. Jeffrey Des Binwag, Dean of the School of Engineering and Architecture of Saint Louis University, Baguio City, served as the resource speaker who led key sessions offering insights into best practices and areas for improvement.


On the second day, discussions focused on the key takeaways of the PTC self-survey reports and in-depth sessions on OBE and CQI. Engr. Binwag continued to guide participants through the OBE and CQI sessions, emphasizing the alignment of learning outcomes, assessment methods, and continuous program enhancement. The sessions encouraged active participation and critical evaluation among attendees.


Through this initiative, USLT reaffirms its dedication to strengthening academic standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in line with the expectations of the Philippine Technological Council and the broader educational community.
