The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) conducted the Updates on Regulatory Benefits cum In-Service Training on Enhancing Financial Management for its employees on August 8, 2025, at the Bulwagang Teodulfo Domingo.
The morning session focused on updates from various government agencies. Mr. Reyson Joseph Robles, Marketing Specialist of Pag-IBIG, discussed recent membership benefits and programs. Ms. Abigail Taguba, Senior Analyst for Large Scale Operations of the Social Security System (SSS), presented the latest policies and services for its members. Meanwhile, PhilHealth Social Insurance Officers I Ms. Nenie Camayao and Mr. George Liban provided updates on the agency’s healthcare coverage and claims procedures.
In the afternoon, the program shifted to enhancing financial literacy, emphasizing ways to avoid fraud and scams, which was share by Ms. Maria Elena Madriga, Bank Officer IV, BSP North Luzon Regional Office, Baguio City. This was followed by presentations from two Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) exploring the viability of introducing such services at USLT. Maxicare Health Benefit Executive Ms. Ellaine Gomez and PhilCare Account Officer Mr. Adrian Lanorias each presented their respective packages and benefits.
The training aimed to equip employees with up-to-date knowledge of government benefits, promote sound financial management, and assess additional healthcare options for the university community.
