Engr. May Zingapan Valdez, DEM, Head of the Geodetic Engineering (GE) Department of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT), was conferred the title of ASEAN Engineer during the 44th Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO 44), held on October 20–22, 2026, at the Pullman Bandung International Convention Center in Bandung, Indonesia.
Engr. Valdez was one of the three geodetic engineers in the Philippines who received the distinction, alongside engineers from other professional fields under the Philippine Technological Council (PTC).
The ASEAN Engineer title recognizes qualified engineering professionals and supports the mobility of engineering services within the ASEAN region.
This recognition highlights Valdez’s professional standing in the engineering field and brings pride to USLT as it continues to support the professional growth and achievements of its academic members.
