The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) continues to advance its academic landscape through the integration of technology in teaching and learning, as faculty members from various college departments undergo an orientation on the use of the newly installed 85-inch Smartboards in classrooms on August 24-27, 2026, at the Main and the Bishop Constant Jurgens (BCJ) campuses.
The orientation was facilitated by the Alternative Learning Pathways and Educational Technology Office, headed by Dr. Kyle S. Espiritu. Also present was Vice President for Academics and Research Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, who met with the college faculty to emphasize stewardship, accountability, and the responsible use of the new smart boards.
Beyond equipping classrooms with advanced facilities, the initiative reflects the university’s broader commitment to digital transformation in education. By empowering faculty members to maximize emerging technologies, USLT strengthens its capacity to deliver learning experiences that are more interactive, collaborative, accessible, and responsive to the changing needs of learners.
The integration of Smartboards also encourages faculty members to explore innovative teaching strategies and move beyond traditional classroom approaches. It supports the development of a learning environment where digital tools can complement instruction and encourage greater student participation.
