The 12th HCU National and International Academic Conference, with the theme “Research to Serve Society”, was held on July 30–31, 2025, at Huachiew Chalermprakiet University in Bangphil District, Samutprakarn, Thailand, with the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) serving as a co-host.
USLT was represented by Dr. Darin Jan C. Tindowen, Senior Director of the University Research and Innovation Office. He also served as a speaker during the SDG in Action Summit, a key segment of the conference, where he presented USLT’s initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and best practices and innovations in research and sustainability. Part of his sharing is the university’s progress in international rankings for SY 2024–2025.
Notably, three USLT faculty members also participated as research presenters:
Ms. Cecille E. Luyun – “Students’ Awareness and Attitudes Toward Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”
Mr. Marvin S. Silva – “Bridging Education and Sustainability: Evaluating Service-Learning Programs Through the Lens of SDGs”
Ms. Roselyn N. Lemi – “Green Marketing Practices of Local Businesses: A Basis for Marketing Strategy Development”
In addition, the conference was attended by national and international scholars to share studies aimed at addressing societal needs through research.
Ultimately, USLT’s involvement underscored its commitment to advancing research, promoting sustainable practices, and strengthening international academic partnerships.
