The Basic Education School (BES) of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) gathered Capable Louisians for the BSP and GSP Overnight Camping at the Main Campus on September 4, 2026, with the theme “Scouting for a Greener Tomorrow: Futureproofing Adventure for the Next Century and Beyond.”
The multi-part event featured the formal investiture rites, a camping night, and structured team-building exercises facilitated by the Supreme Learner Government (SLG). Through these activities, young scouts engaged in practical outdoor activities designed to build character, strengthen camaraderie, and reinforce core scouting principles.
The experience emphasized leadership, self-discipline, and mutual respect, equipping participants to act as responsible individuals both within the campus and in their broader communities.
In line with global initiatives, the activity directly supports Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by providing experiential, values-based learning beyond the classroom. Additionally, by embedding eco-conscious practices and environmental stewardship into the scouting exercises, the event advances Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action), encouraging young Louisians to take proactive roles in protecting the planet.
