University President Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D. and Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, VP for Academics, joined fellow Filipino educators in an educational visit to Xiamen and Beijing on May 26-30, 2025.
The delegation explored Xiamen and Peking University, gaining valuable insights about their educational system. Additionally, they participated in a cultural tour of the two cities, further enriching their understanding of Chinese culture and society.
The two administrators were part of the 2025 Principals and Educators Delegation from the Confucius Institute at the University of the Philippines, which is organized by Xiamen University.
This visit served as an opportunity to further strengthen educational ties and exchange knowledge between the Philippines and Chinese academic institutions and further solidified the university’s commitment to UN’s SDG Goal 4 (Quality Education).
