USL’s BES-Elem named regional Best Performing Private Elementary School

Be the BESt! The University of Saint Louis’ Basic Education School (BES)-Elementary Department has achieved remarkable success with being named the Best Performing Private Elementary School in the DepEd Region 2 STARS Awards 2024.


Dr. Emily T. Mabborang, Assistant VP for Basic Education, and Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., University President, accepted the award during the ceremony held on December 5, 2024, at the Maria Lourdes Mansion, Alicia, Isabela.


In addition, USL-BES was also one of the finalists for the Best Performing Private Secondary School. The accomplishment highlights the dedication and excellence of the faculty, staff, and students at USL-BES and underscores USL’s commitment to quality education, in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which ensures inclusive and equitable quality education.


The STARS (Service-focused, Talented, Affective, Resilient, Spiritually-driven) Awards is an annual event held every December to recognize exemplary performances in the quality implementation of Basic Education services and honor the contributions of schools, personnel, and divisions in advancing the DepEd Vision and Mission.
