The University of Saint Louis (USL) has achieved a notable feat, ranking seventh (7th) place among Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the 2025 AppliedHE Private University Ranking: ASEAN.
This remarkable achievement positioned the institution at 42nd place out of 100 Southeast Asian private universities, highlighting its competitive edge on a regional level. With an impressive overall score of 62.50, the recognition underscores USL’s strong performance and standing as an excellent institution, placing it among esteemed peers in the rankings.
Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, VP for Academics, expressed her joy in the university’s inaugural participation and impressive results in the recent ranking. “This is the first time that we participated, and we are happy that we obtained good results, even surpassing some big universities in the Philippines. This is an attestation of our commitment to academic performance, research output, faculty qualifications, and student satisfaction, which are the bases of the ranking,” she remarked.
Armed with the institution’s quality improvements, the achievement is the result of the collective effort of the university community. “We thank the whole Louisian community, especially those who prepared our application papers, for their support and dedication to achieving these positive outcomes,” Dr. Aquino concluded.
The commendable performance of USL underscores the university’s commitment to providing quality education and solidifies its standing as a reputable institution in the region under Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
