The University of Saint Louis proudly congratulates Michelle A. Abella, RL, MLIS, Director of Libraries, for being hailed as the Most Outstanding Cagayano Librarian during the Cagayan Provincial Learning and Resource Center (CPLRC) Awards Night held on November 30, 2024, at Manio’s Pampaguena Events Place, Pengue Ruyu, Tuguegarao City.
The awards ceremony, spearheaded by Atty. Mabel Villarica-Mamba, in collaboration with the office of the Provincial Governor Manuel N. Mamba, marked the celebration of the 34th Library and Information Services Month and Librarians’ Day. This event hosted various activities, including the Search for the Most Functional School Library and the Search for the Most Outstanding Librarian.
During the Search for the Most Outstanding Librarian, participants underwent a rigorous selection process, including an in-depth interview focusing on their dedication, expertise, and contributions to the library profession.
Ms. Abella’s commitment and achievements as a librarian earned her the top recognition, along with a ₱10,000.00 cash prize and a plaque of recognition.
The event aimed to highlight the transformative role of libraries and librarians in the modern era, guided by the theme “Transformation, Innovation, and Inspiration.”
