The University of Saint Louis effectively organized and hosted the 2024 CICM Philippine Schools Network Governance Assembly (CICM-PSNGA) from May 2-4, 2024, providing a platform for fruitful discussions and collaboration among participating institutions.
Delegates from various sister universities, comprising Saint Louis University, Saint Mary’s University, Saint Louis College of San Fernando, La Union, Saint Louis College-Cebu, and CICM Maryhill School of Theology, were welcomed by the USL community in a Dinner and Socialization program on May 2 at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium. The event served as an opportunity for participants to engage in meaningful interactions and foster camaraderie within the network.
The following day, key administrators from various CICM schools gathered at the BCJ Campus, to delve into comprehensive dialogue and formulation of the Cluster Action Plans for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025. The productive discourse encompassed a wide range of pertinent topics and initiatives aimed at further enhancing the educational landscape and student welfare across the CICM schools nationwide. This collaborative effort aims to ensure effective governance and strategic direction for all member schools.
Building on the discussions and work from the previous day, the members continued to develop and finalize the Cluster Action Plans for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025 on May 4. The plans were carefully deliberated upon and ultimately received the approval of the governing body.
Subsequently, the closing ceremony commenced with a Eucharistic celebration at the Good Shepherd Chapel, presided over by Rev. Fr. Roderick G. Villamar, CICM, Ph.D., SLC President. Following the mass, University President Rev. Fr, Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., led the turnover rites of the CICM-PSNGA hosting to the next host school, Saint Louis University. The CICM-PSNGA concluded with a luncheon.
The CICM-PSN is a group of educational institutions established by CICM Philippines to further the mission of Theophile Verbist’s evangelical and international religious missionary congregation, founded in 1862. The group of schools aims to advance the educational apostolate in line with the congregation’s values and principles.
