University President among 2025–2026 United Board Fellows

Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, PhD, University President, successfully completed the 2025–2026 United Board Fellows Program of the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (UBCHEA), earning a Certificate of Completion as one of only 25 fellows from across Asia who completed the prestigious leadership development program.

The United Board Fellows Program is designed to address the leadership development needs of mid-career faculty members and administrators from primarily Christian colleges and universities in Asia. Through the program, the United Board cultivates dynamic leaders committed to advancing whole person education while strengthening resilient and mission-driven academic institutions.

As part of the fellowship, Fr. Maniwang engaged in leadership formation, collaborative learning, and professional development initiatives that equipped participants with strategies to respond to the evolving challenges of higher education in the region.

Through the United Board Fellows Program, Fr. Maniwang aims to enhance leadership strategies and faith-based education at the university while advancing the Congregatio Immaculati Cordis Mariae (CICM) mission of scholarship, service, and community empowerment.

His successful completion of the fellowship reflects USLT’s continuing commitment to academic excellence, transformative leadership, and the formation of servant leaders who contribute meaningfully to the Church, society, and the global academic community.
