Two Louisians win awards in 2025 CACWA

Two Louisians won awards in the Cagayan Art and Creative Writing Awards (CACWA) 2025, held on June 26, 2025, celebrating their exemplary display of excellence in writing and visual arts.


Grade 10 student Janina Francesca M. Bautista clinched second place in the Junior High School Category of the Short Story Writing competition with her work titled “Ibayong Lipad ng Sumuay.”


In the Visual Arts competition, Jhondale C. Escobar from the School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE) won first place, tying with four other winners. His piece, titled “Peace of Perspective,” highlights the theme of inner peace amidst external pressures.


The competition is part of the 442nd Aggao Nac Cagayan festivities, celebrating the founding anniversary of the province of Cagayan.
