SACE Dragons blaze in Silab-Hiraya 2025 Departmental Week

Dragons, ariba!

The School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE) of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) is again filled with enthusiasm as it celebrates its Departmental Week with the theme “Silab-Hiraya 2025: Husay at Dunong, Tanglaw ng Kabataang SACE” from October 8 to 11, 2025, at the USLT campus.

This year’s celebration takes inspiration from Philippine folklore, where three mighty clans rise to represent the powers of the sky, land, and sea. The competing clans are Dayaw ng Dalakit, Magindara Hiraya, and Ang Bagwis ng Minokawa. Each group symbolizes strength, wisdom, and creativity as they engage in friendly competition to claim the top honor in this year’s festivities.

Throughout the week, students participate in literary, visual, sports, and socio-cultural contests that showcase their skills, talents, and teamwork. One of the most anticipated parts of the event is the Search for the 2025 SACE Ambassador and Ambassadress. The search encourages leadership, confidence, and social responsibility among the participants.

The SACE Week provides students with opportunities to develop their talents, strengthen friendships, and take a meaningful break from their academic routines. Through Silab-Hiraya 2025, the Louisian Dragons continue to show excellence, creativity, and dedication, reflecting the spirit of “husay” and “dunong” that guides every SACE student toward a brighter and stronger future.
