Project Hapag-Asa fuels academic success with 3,020 meals served

From November 4-6, 2024, the University of Saint Louis (USL) distributed 3,020 bowls of hot meals to college students through “Project Hapag-Asa,” an initiative designed to ensure no student faces exams on an empty stomach. This effort reflects USL’s commitment to supporting students’ well-being, helping them stay focused and energized for academic success.

Beyond serving warm meals, Project Hapag-Asa fills a vital role in the USL community, providing a space where students receive the encouragement and support they need. Each meal is a testament to the dedication of volunteers whose efforts make this project possible, turning compassion into action with every serving.

As Project Hapag-Asa continues to grow, it stands as a reminder that USL cares deeply for its students, supporting both their minds and bodies on the path to excellence. This project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and SDG 4 (Quality Education).
