The Physical Education (PHED) Department of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao conducted the culminating activity for Project GARAW (Gearing towards an Active lifestyle by Reinforcing Agile participation in Wellness development) on May 9, 2025, at the University Field.
Project GARAW provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge, skills, and values they have acquired throughout the PHED and BPED courses in a comprehensive and engaging manner. It aims to assess students’ overall physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline through performance-based activities.
Moreover, it encourages active participation, highlights individual and group achievements, and fosters a sense of accomplishment and confidence in pursuing lifelong physical activity.
Additionally, participants included all students enrolled in PHED 1022 – Exercise-based Fitness Activities, Specialized PE for BS Criminology 1, and BPED students.
The culminating activity concluded the semester’s practical requirements and emphasized the importance of physical wellness and consistent engagement in fitness activities beyond the classroom.
