Louisian STAR clinches 1st place in national poster-making tilt

Grade 12 student Zean Jeter T. Tolentino clinched first place in the poster-making competition of the ECONVERGENCE 2025 held on January 25-26, 2025, at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).


Zean Jeter stood out with his visualization of the contest’s theme “The Power to Thrive: Securing Sustainable Energy for an Inclusive and Crisis-Resilient Philippines.” He was coached by Mr. Ian Paolo E. Melad, BES Faculty.


Furthermore, the university was also well-represented in the other events by Jestler Mark R. Ursua in the Ekonomika Quiz Contest, Steven Carl D. Cartajena in the Impromptu Speaking Competition, Blesse Anne V. Blacer in the Photo Essay Competition, Mary Angelique S. Ragasa in the Mini Documentation Presentation, and Mr. Bonna Vhie Q. Cabana, BES Faculty, in the Economics Teachers’ Convention.


ECONVERGENCE is a national inter-high school multi-event economics competition that aims to promote economic excellence and literacy among high school students. The competition is hosted by the UPLB Economics Society.
