The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) ranked 570th worldwide among 2,016 higher education institutions (HEIs) included in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026, recognizing the university’s efforts in advancing environmental sustainability.
The university also ranked 330th in Asia out of 1,252 participating HEIs and 24th in the Philippines out of 130 institutions. At the regional level, USLT placed 2nd in the Cagayan Valley Region.
UI GreenMetric is the world’s inaugural and most comprehensive university ranking system dedicated to environmental sustainability. It assesses participating higher education institutions based on their commitment and performance in various areas of sustainability and environmental management.
USLT’s inclusion in the 2026 rankings reflects its continuing efforts to promote sustainability through institutional practices, campus initiatives, and community engagement.
The recognition supports USLT’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13: Climate Action, by strengthening environmental sustainability efforts and encouraging practices that contribute to a more sustainable future.
