Guidance and Counseling Center – College Unit launches Louisian VOICE

Third-year students from various departments of the university gathered at Robinsons Place Tuguegarao last March 18, 2025 for the launch of Louisian VOICE (Vanguards of Outstanding Louisian Character and Inspiration for Cultivation of Excellence), a program aimed at equipping students with essential life skills and knowledge to inspire personal and academic growth.

The event featured Atty. Ma. Louie Inna Gracia Lasam Cumagun as the keynote speaker. She delivered an insightful talk on “Pursuit of Happiness and Smart Money Skills for College,” emphasizing the importance of financial literacy, mindful decision-making, and maintaining a positive outlook on life.

To set an engaging tone, the program opened with an interactive icebreaker activity, encouraging active participation and fostering a lively, welcoming atmosphere. This was followed by a formal opening speech from Mrs. Ma. Haydee C. Guillermo, Guidance Director, who discussed the objectives of the initiative and expressed gratitude to everyone in attendance.

During the session, Atty. Cumagun shared practical strategies for achieving financial stability while balancing academic and personal well-being. She encouraged students to reflect on their current financial habits and adopt a more intentional approach to securing their future.

As the event concluded, Mr. Jenniko L. Quinto, the project lead and a member of the Guidance and Counseling team, delivered a closing message, reinforcing the session’s key takeaways and underscoring the importance of making informed life choices.

The Louisian VOICE provided students with valuable insights and inspiration, aligning with the university’s commitment to holistic development and excellence.
