The Basic Education School (BES) emerged as the Overall Champion of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao’s 61st Founding Anniversary, earning a total of 8,990 points. The awarding ceremony took place during the grand finale on February 14, 2026.
This year’s victory marked a momentous milestone for BES. Last school year, the Foxies finished as first runner-up. However, in a remarkable turnaround, they reclaimed the championship title and ended the four-year winning streak of the School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE).
SACE secured the Overall First Runner-up title with 8,250 points. Meanwhile, the School of Accountancy, Business, and Hospitality (SABH) placed as Overall Second Runner-up with 7,520 points. The School of Health and Allied Sciences (SHAS) earned the Overall Third Runner-up distinction with 7,050 points, while the School of Education, Criminology, Arts, and Psychology (SECAP) finished as Overall Fourth Runner-up with 6,670 points.
Throughout the week-long celebration, students from all departments competed in sports, literary, visual arts and multimedia, socio-cultural, and special events. Each school showcased discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Nevertheless, BES maintained consistent performance across multiple categories, ultimately securing a commanding lead in the overall tally.
The final night of the anniversary celebration was filled with anticipation as the cumulative results were announced. Cheers erupted from the Foxies contingent when BES was officially proclaimed Overall Champion, signaling a triumphant return to the top.
The 61st Founding Anniversary once again highlighted the echoing Louisian spirit. More importantly, it emphasized how healthy competition fosters camaraderie, leadership, and excellence among students. As BES celebrates its hard-earned victory, the entire university community looks forward to another year of greater achievements and continued growth.
