The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) held the CECA Summit 2026 on September 11, 2026, at the Bulwagang Teodulfo Domingo, with CECA coordinators and members of the university community in attendance. Carrying the theme “Together in Action: Engaging with Purpose, Serving with Commitment, Transforming with Impact,” the summit focused on service, volunteerism, and meaningful community engagement.
Through various activities, the summit highlighted the role of the Community Engagement and CICM Advocacies (CECA) in promoting meaningful service, volunteerism, and community involvement. During the morning session, Mr. Marlon T. Buena, LPT, faculty member of the Basic Education School, delivered the seminar talk “The Call to Serve: Faith, Compassion, and Volunteerism in Action.” His session emphasized the importance of faith, compassion, and volunteerism in serving others and responding to community needs.
For the afternoon session, Mr. Bryan Jun Allayban, PDO II, Regional Institutional Partnership and Development Officer of LGUs and 4Ps Management Officer, delivered the seminar talk “Beyond Outreach: Creating Sustainable Community Impact through Meaningful Engagement.” His discussion focused on creating lasting community impact through meaningful and sustainable engagement.
Also included in the program were the CECA Accomplishment Report, the presentation of the Action Plan, the community challenge, the innovation workshop and presentation, the community pledge, and the Kaibigan ng Kalikasan Program: Tuning Cleanliness into a Culture of Care. A ceremonial tree planting marked the conclusion of the summit.
The CECA Summit 2026 supports Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by providing learning experiences that develop participants’ understanding of service and community engagement. It also contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening collaboration among members of the university community and partner institutions. Environmental activities further support Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action) by promoting environmental stewardship through tree planting and sustainable practices.
