USLT celebrates 10th Medical Laboratory Science Pinning, Candle Lighting, White Coating Ceremony

The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) celebrated the 10th Medical Laboratory Science Pinning, Candle Lighting, and White Coating Ceremony on August 11, 2026, at the Bulwagang Teodulfo Domingo. It began with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. John Mark D. Barroga, CICM, Vice President for Mission and Identity/ University Chaplain.


Following the mass, the ceremony formally welcomed the Batch Saint Cosmas and Damian as they marked an important milestone in their journey toward the medical laboratory science profession. The event featured inspirational messages from university leaders and the guest speaker, Hennessy B. Napat-A, RMT, OIC, Chief Medical Technologist, who shared insights and encouragement with the candidates.



A highlight of the ceremony was the candle lighting and symbolic pinning and coating, representing the students’ commitment and dedication to the profession. The candidates were formally presented before receiving their departmental pins and coats, signifying another significant step in their academic and professional formation.


The ceremony was attended by the Medical Laboratory Science faculty, university administrators, and the candidates’ parents, who joined in celebrating their achievements and preparing them for the responsibilities that come with becoming future medical laboratory professionals.


Through this milestone, USLT continues to advance Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education by providing students with meaningful academic and professional formation.
