USLT holds two-day Research Publication Workshop with global experts

The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT), through the University Research and Innovation Office (URIO), successfully conducted a two-day Research Publication Workshop on March 10–11, 2026, aimed at strengthening the university’s research culture and enhancing the publication capacity of its faculty researchers.

The workshop featured the Global Health Focus (GHF) University Excellence Team, led by Dr. Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III, together with Jerico B. Ogaya and Christian Joseph N. Ong, who served as plenary speakers and facilitators.

During the training, participants were guided on strategies for developing a research-intensive, globally ranked, and impactful university, including improving research productivity, strengthening academic collaborations, and increasing publication outputs in reputable journals.

The activity gathered faculty researchers, department heads, senior teachers, and research coordinators from various academic units of the university. As part of the workshop, research concept papers were presented and reviewed, providing participants with expert insights and recommendations to further enhance their studies for publication.

The initiative reflects USLT’s continuing commitment to advance research excellence and position the university as a leading contributor to knowledge generation and innovation.

Through activities such as this workshop, URIO continues to support Louisian researchers in producing high-quality and impactful scholarly work that contributes to national and global development.
