On February 4, 2026, the University Libraries of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) spearheaded a Book Donation and High School Book Mobile Deployment at Divine Word School of Abulug.
A total of 264 volumes were donated to the Divine Word library. The activity also marked the official launching of the High School Book Mobile Project, aimed at strengthening literacy development among Junior High School students.
As part of the outreach, the Book Mobile was formally introduced and deployed to the school. This movable collection of books was prepared to provide students with easier access to quality reading materials. Various educational resources, including science, reference, and literature books, were lent to support classroom instruction and encourage independent reading.
The launch highlighted the importance of bringing books closer to learners and promoting a culture of reading within the school community.
Part of the deployment included delivering a Library Instruction Program in which “Internet Safety” was discussed. The session focused on digital citizenship, helping students understand online safety, recognize internet risks, and practice responsible use of digital resources.
An interactive storytelling session was also held to engage younger learners and inspire a love for reading. Students actively participated in discussions and activities, showing enthusiasm and interest throughout the program.
The activity reflected strong collaboration between the University Libraries, CECA, and student interns from Cagayan State University (CSU) and St. Joseph College of Baggao (SJCB). Through this combined effort, the outreach successfully enhanced the school’s learning resources while equipping students with essential literacy and digital skills.
