University managers visited the Hidilyn Diaz Weightlifting Academy on February 28, 2026, in Jalajala, Rizal where the visit formed part of the university’s benchmarking and exposure activities, allowing administrators to gain insights from a world-class training facility built on perseverance and purpose.
The delegation was warmly welcomed to the well-built training facility inaugurated in 2024 by Olympic gold medalist Dr. Hidilyn Diaz-Naranjo. The academy now stands as a training ground for aspiring weightlifters.
During the visit, the managers were also shown the humble training space where Diaz-Naranjo’s journey began. The old facility, modest in structure yet rich in history, reflected the early days of hard work, dreams, and unwavering hope. It was in that simple space where dedication was forged and where a vision first took root.
From those beginnings, the academy has grown into a fully equipped institution dedicated to developing future champions. The transformation of the training ground highlights how years of sacrifice, persistence, and faith have culminated in the realization of Diaz-Naranjo’s dream.
