USLT-BES student represents Philippines in International Camp, Girl Scouts of Taiwan

The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) congratulates Piatina F. Guzman, a STEM Health Grade 11 student from the Basic Education School (BES), for representing the Philippines in CAMP NEXT 2026, an international camp organized by the Girl Scouts of Taiwan. The event was held from January 25-30, 2026, at Taichung Municipal Sin-She Senior High School in Taiwan, with the theme CAMP NEXT: A Space to Nurture, Empower, Exchange, and Take Action.

As one of only two official delegates from the country, her participation highlighted youth leadership, cultural exchange, and global solidarity. As a Filipino delegate, Piatina actively engaged with fellow participants in activities designed to develop leadership skills and social awareness.

Throughout the six-day program, participants experienced a wide range of enriching activities. These included an Outdoor Challenge, explorations on the Sustainable Development Goals, and internationally recognized World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) programs such as Free Being Me, STEM Changemakers, and Girls for Green Energy.

Beyond personal growth, her participation brought pride to the university and to the Philippine Girl Scouting movement. By taking part in CAMP NEXT 2026, she embodied the spirit of empowered youth who are prepared to lead, serve, and connect across borders.

Her journey stands as an inspiration to fellow students to embrace global opportunities and contribute meaningfully to international cooperation.

The university once again congratulates Piatina F. Guzman for this remarkable international representation. Her achievement reflects excellence, leadership, and a strong commitment to global unity and youth empowerment.
