The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) formally launched LiBrew, a new coffee corner inside the College Library, today, October 20, 2025. The project is the University Libraries’ action plan under the “Bibliobrew” project, carried out in partnership with Café Xebi.
Located on the second floor of the Main Campus College Library, LiBrew creatively combines the concepts of libro (book) and brew, offering a unique space where students and employees can enjoy coffee while studying or engaging in discussions.
The grand opening ceremony began with the blessing of the coffee shop, led by Rev. Fr. John Mark D. Barroga, CICM, Vice President for Mission and Identity and University Chaplain, and Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., University President. Both expressed their support for the project, emphasizing that the project reflects the university’s commitment to fostering an environment that encourages learning, relaxation, and community building.
Following the blessing, faculty members, librarians, students, and university staff gathered for simple refreshments prepared to mark the occasion.
According to the University Libraries, LiBrew aims to create a comfortable and engaging space where academic and social experiences can blend seamlessly. The project also demonstrates the Libraries’ continuing efforts to innovate and adapt to the evolving needs of the Louisian community.
With LiBrew now open, students and employees can enjoy their favorite brewed drinks for purchase, turning study time into a more relaxing and productive experience.
