4th year hospitality, tourism students recognized in 3rd pinning, coating ceremony

The School of Accountancy, Business, and Hospitality (SABH) recognized its fourth year Hospitality and Tourism students in the 3rd Pinning, Coating, and Candle-Lighting ceremony held at the Good Shepherd Chapel on October 18, 2024.


The ceremony commenced with a Eucharistic mass, presided over by Rev. Fr. John Mark D. Barroga, CICM, University Chaplain/VPMI, who imparted blessings to the students as they begin this new phase in their academic journey.


Following the mass, Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., University President, and Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, VP for Academics, formally presented the pins and coats to the 21 Hospitality Management students and 47 Tourism Management students of Batch LUMINEUX. This ceremonial gesture marked the transition of the students into their internship roles, signifying a significant step in their practical training. 


Dr. Rizza V. Ramos, SABH Academic Dean, led the Candle-Lighting ceremony, signifying the enlightenment of knowledge and wisdom that students will uphold in their professional pursuits.


The event was well-attended by university administrators, faculty, staff, and the students’ parents to celebrate this academic milestone.


The university is committed to providing students with the necessary tools and experiences to ensure that they contribute positively to their respective fields, which is in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and SDG Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
