Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, Vice President for Academics at the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT), has been appointed as a Commission Member of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) Commission on Information Technology Education. According to the official appointment letter received on June 4, 2026, her two-year term runs from May 2026 through May 2028.
This prestigious appointment reflects PAASCU’s deep trust in Dr. Aquino’s leadership and brings incredible honor to the USLT community, spotlighting her commitment to elevating Philippine higher education. It also marks another milestone for Dr. Aquino, who was honored in November last year with the prestigious James J. Meany Award for her exceptional service to quality education.
In her new role as a commissioner, Dr. Aquino will collaborate on strategic initiatives, including training new institutional accreditors, evaluating survey team reports, and formulating modern assessment standards to keep Philippine IT education globally competitive.
