The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) proudly celebrates Team UBRA for securing the Champion Award in the Regional Philippine Startup Challenge X (PSC X) pitching competition organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) on November 7, 2025, at Casa Angela, Tuguegarao City.
The regional competition brought together 93 team entries from across Region 2, with only 16 teams advancing to the final pitching round—including four strong contenders from USLT. Rising above all competitors, Team UBRA was declared the PSC X Regional Champion, earning the honor of representing Region 2 in the National PSC X Competition last December 3-4, 2025 in Clark, Pampanga.
Team UBRA consists of John Jomer R. Ignacio (BSCS-3), Kenneth R. Gasmen (BSCS-3), Bill Richmond A. Udarbe (BSIT-3), together with their mentor Mr. Sander T. Sedano, MIT.
UBRA is a visionary digital movement dedicated to preserving and uplifting Filipino craftsmanship at a time when traditional culture faces the risk of fading away. Unlike platforms that focus on mass-produced goods, UBRA champions authentic, heritage-rich creations—pieces carved in wood, woven in fabric, and shaped by generations of artistry.
The platform features a curated marketplace and a dynamic auction system that allows artisans to showcase their most treasured works and receive the value they genuinely deserve.
USLT extends its warmest congratulations to Team UBRA for bringing pride and honor to the Louisian community. Their innovation, advocacy, and purpose-driven vision exemplify the university’s mission to nurture creativity, leadership, and nation-building.
