USLT strengthens global academic presence through Faculty Exchange Program in China

Mr. Dominick S. Suboc, an English faculty member of the School of Education, Criminology, Arts and Psychology, has embarked on a one-month academic engagement in China from March 16 to April 17, 2026. Hosted by Shanghai Urban Construction Vocational College (SUCC), the initiative highlights the growing international footprint of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT).

During his stay, Mr. Suboc will deliver oral English courses aimed at enhancing students’ fluency, accuracy, and confidence in spoken English. The program is designed to provide learners with practical communication skills, reinforcing SUCC’s commitment to producing globally competent graduates.

Moreover, the engagement is anchored on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) established between USLT and SUCC, which formalize the faculty exchange program between the two institutions. This collaboration continues to open opportunities for academic cooperation, professional development, and intercultural learning among faculty members.

Notably, this initiative also builds on the strong partnership between the two institutions, following the visit of Ms. Qian Wang, Director of the English Teaching and Research Office of SUCC, who served as a visiting professor at USLT in September 2025. Her engagement provided Louisian students and faculty with enriching academic and cultural experiences, further strengthening ties between the partner institutions.

Ultimately, Mr. Suboc’s participation in this international program reflects a significant milestone in USLT’s pursuit of becoming a globally engaged university. Through sustained international collaborations, the university continues to expand its academic network, promote cross-cultural understanding, and reinforce its commitment to excellence on the global stage.
