The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) President Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, PhD, has formally signed the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Accord to affirm the university’s role in advancing global sustainability through education, research, and institutional leadership.
The SDG Accord is a worldwide initiative supported by the United Nations and coordinated by the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC), alongside more than 60 sustainability partners and networks. It serves as a collective pledge of academic institutions, student associations, and organizations to integrate the United Nations SDGs into their core functions and to actively contribute toward building a more sustainable future.
By becoming a signatory, Fr. Maniwang places USLT among over 300 higher education institutions worldwide that are united in embedding sustainability into teaching, research, operations, and community engagement.
Through this commitment, USLT reaffirms its mission as a transformative Catholic institution that actively nurtures a culture of responsibility and care for the environment and society.
