The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) officially opened the CEAP–ASCA Region 02 Sports and Socio-Cultural Meet 2026 through a lively Grand Opening Night held at the USLT Open Field on January 25, 2026.
Guided by the theme “Different Gifts, One Mission,” the event gathered participating schools from across the region in a shared celebration of unity, talent, and commitment to holistic development.
The program began with the Presentation of Participants and the Oath of Amateurism. This was followed by the Creative Lighting of the Torch and the Hoisting of Flags. Subsequently, Rev. Fr. Romulo Felix, CEAP Trustee, delivered his message and formally declared the opening of the 14th CEAP–ASCA Sports and Socio-Cultural Meet, marking the official start of the regional event.
As the program progressed, the atmosphere transformed into a lively celebration during the Battle of the Bands which highlighted the musical creativity of the participating institutions. USLT earned the Gold award, while Saint Mary’s University secured Silver and Our Lady of Pillar College Cauayan, Inc. claimed Bronze.
Finally, the opening night concluded with a special concert by Ms. Marielle Montellano, one of the Tawag ng Tanghalan Duets Champion, whose performance brought energy and excitement to the crowd.
Overall, the Grand Opening Night set a meaningful and spirited tone for the upcoming days of sports and socio-cultural activities, reflecting the shared mission that unites the CEAP–ASCA community.
