A ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and official launching of the RDLead Program was held on June 4, 2025, at the Bulwagang Teodulfo Domingo.
The MOA was signed by officials such as Dr. Marfy H. Lita, RDLead Coordinator of the Department of Science and Technology – National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP); Dr. Andres Philip Mayol of De La Salle University (DLSU), the appointed Research and Development Leader for USLT; Dr. Bernardo N. Sepeda, NRCP Executive Director; Dr. Virginia G. Bilgera, DOST Region 2 Director; and Dr. Marie Rose P. Mora, USLT Vice President for Administration.
Also present to witness the event were members of the USLT administrators, faculty, and staff, along with professors from DLSU.
Moreover, the RDLead Program aims to strengthen the research capabilities of academic institutions like USLT. With the growing impact of science, technology, and innovation, the program offers a series of intensive training sessions to strengthen faculty expertise in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Matlab, scientific writing, and research proposal development.
Through this initiative, it is poised to create a lasting collaboration between local researchers and national experts for the advancement of sustainable innovation.
