MATH-A-THON Season 3, a Service-Learning Program of the School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE) Department and Basic Education School (BES), brought students across the region to compete in a mathematics contest held on March 22, 2025, at the Bishop Constant Jurgens, University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao.
The theme, “Pi Power; Circling Towards Success,” focused on enhancing mathematical skills, community engagement, and fostering a passion for problem-solving.
Endorsed by Department of Education Region 2 under DOCS ID No: 021425095, the competition was attended by prominent figures such as Dr. Noli B. Abrigo Jr., the Education Program Supervisor in Mathematics, Division of Tuguegarao City, and Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, USLT’s Vice President for Academics.
The event featured students from various schools, with competitors divided into three clusters: The Lower JHS, The Upper JHS, and The SHS.
There were 43 participants from 18 participating schools, including Aldersgate College, Inc., Delfin Albano (Magsaysay) Stand-Alone Senior High School, Andarayan National High School, Capatan Integrated School, Regional Science High School for Region 2, and Allacapan Vocational High School.
Other educational institutions that participated in the competition included Gadu National High School, Linao National High School, Piat National High School, Solana National High School, Cagayan National High School-Junior High, Tuguegarao City Science High School, and University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao.
The winners were given a certificate of recognition, a medal, and a cash prize.

3rd Place: Nash Ivor Bacani (Regional Science High School – Region 02)
Upper JHS Cluster Winners:

2nd Place: Rhico Justine Sanchez (Capatan Integrated School)
3rd Place: Clyde Aldrick Paleg (University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao – JHS)
SHS Cluster Winners:
1st Place: Lleyton Sigmann Lara
2nd Place: Randel Dumlao (Regional Science High School – Region 02)
3rd Place: Andrei Mitchell Decena (Tuguegarao City Science High School)
