The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) welcomed its alumni back to campus for the Grand Alumni Homecoming 2024, celebrating generations of Louisian graduates through festivities marked by nostalgia, gratitude, and camaraderie.
Organized by the Class of 1999, the event honored the Golden Jubilarians from the Class of 1974, who marked 50 years since their graduation. Alumni from various batches gathered for a night of renewed ties with their fellow Louisian graduates.
The event, held on December 28, 2024, at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium, provided the opportunity for the University President, Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., to express his deep appreciation for the support of the alumni community. He emphasized that the bonds formed at the university extend beyond the years spent on campus, highlighting how these connections have greatly contributed to the university’s progress. Fr. Maniwang also shared significant milestones achieved by the university, including campus improvements and international recognitions, to name a few.
The Alumni President, Dr. Reynaldo M. Adducul, delivered a message encouraging the alumni to strengthen their ties with one another and with their alma mater. He expressed pride in the shared achievements of the alumni community and reminded them of their collective responsibility to give back to the institution that honed their personal and professional journeys.
The evening also featured vibrant entertainment, with performances from the host batch, the Class of 1999, who treated everyone to a night of singing, dancing, and reminiscing about their unforgettable times at USLT. The performances added a special touch to the homecoming celebration, as alumni from different batches joined in the fun and relived the joy of their student years.
Another highlight of the program is the presentation of the Golden Jubilarians, who were warmly welcomed and paid tribute to for their lifelong connection to USLT.
Additionally, the Tribute to Teachers drew heartfelt appreciation as the alumni expressed gratitude to their former teachers who helped shape who they are today.
One of the event’s most symbolic moments was the Turnover of the Key of Responsibility from the Class of 1999 to the Class of 2000, signifying the continued tradition of the Grand Alumni Homecoming and the alumni’s dedication to sustaining the Louisian legacy.
The Grand Alumni Homecoming 2024 was a testament to USLT’s enduring legacy, as alumni celebrated their shared achievements and pledged their continued support in helping the university achieve greater milestones.
