USLT holds blessing of new Grotto, renovated President’s Office

The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) celebrated the blessing of its newly built Grotto and renovated University President’s Office on November 11, 2025.

The blessing ceremony was led by University President Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., together with the Vice President for Mission and Identity/University Chaplain, Rev. Fr. John Mark D. Barroga, CICM, MATh-PM.

In his message, Fr. Maniwang expressed his gratitude for the completion of the projects and emphasized the spirit of openness that the new office represents. He said that the President’s Office is not his alone but a space that is always open for everyone in the university community. “This office is a place of welcome. It shall remain open to students, faculty members, staff, and guests who wish to share their concerns, ideas, or simple conversations that build understanding and unity,” he remarked.

The newly constructed Grotto was also blessed during the ceremony. It stands as a symbol of faith and peace, reminding the Louisian community to seek moments of prayer and reflection amid daily responsibilities. It embodies the university’s enduring commitment to spiritual growth and harmony among its members.

The blessing highlighted USLT’s dedication to creating spaces that nurture faith, unity, and service, reaffirming its commitment to forming individuals who live out Christian values in all aspects of life.
