The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) held its 4th Coating, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony for the 3rd-year Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting (BSMA) students, batch Compassio, on November 21, 2025, at the Good Shepherd Chapel.
The ceremony opened with a mass presided over by Rev. Fr. John Mark Barroga, CICM, Vice President for Mission and Identity/University Chaplain.
A total of 70 students participated in the rites, beginning with the coating ceremony led by their parents as a meaningful gesture of support as they embarked on their practicum journey. This was followed by the pinning ceremony facilitated by Dr. Rizza V. Ramos, DHM, and Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, Vice President for Academics.
The lighting of the mother candle symbolized the guidance that will illuminate the students’ path as they enter a new phase of formation. Subsequently, the BSMA interns recited their oath of commitment, affirming their readiness to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to them.
Significantly, proud parents were present to witness this milestone, marking a crucial step in their children’s preparation for future professional roles. The university conveys its best wishes to the BSMA interns as they embark on their practicum and continue to uphold the Louisian values of competence, commitment, and compassion.
