USLT, COCOLIFE Healthcare strengthen employee health benefits through HMO partnership

The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) and COCOLIFE Healthcare formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) program on August 25, 2026, at the Sacred Heart Boardroom, further strengthening the university’s commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare benefits to its employees.

Under the agreement, USLT employees who have rendered at least five years of service to the university are eligible for the HMO program, regardless of employment tenure. Through this partnership, qualified employees may access healthcare coverage and services designed to support their medical needs and overall well-being.

Established in 1997, COCOLIFE Healthcare was created to complement Cocolife’s range of risk protection and financial services. In 1999, it expanded its offerings by introducing a card-based healthcare service alongside its reimbursement-type health insurance. With more than 25 years of industry experience, COCOLIFE Healthcare has become a preferred partner of hospitals, clinics, medical practitioners, and organizations in addressing the healthcare needs of employees and their families.

The HMO partnership demonstrates USLT’s continued efforts to enhance employee welfare by providing benefits that contribute to the health, security, and quality of life of its workforce. It also reinforces the university’s commitment to fostering a supportive workplace where employees are valued and provided with meaningful institutional benefits.

The partnership supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being by expanding access to healthcare coverage and services for eligible USLT employees and promoting their health and well-being. It also contributes to SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by strengthening employee benefits and welfare, supporting a healthy and productive workforce.
